Carp fishing We're pleased to offer stocked carp fishing set in our beautiful Breton countryside and just 10 minutes from the Mill. 2 stocked lakes set in 36 acres, surrounded by trees and heather fields it offers wonderful opportunities for keen fishermen and women alike. It's secure location makes it perfectly safe for children to fish too. The lakes are around 40 years old. Depths range from 1 to 7 feet. The bottoms are mostly silt with gravel areas, weed beds, lily pads and a variety of features including sunken trees and overhanging bushes. Oxygen supply is good which ensures good healthy and strong fighting fish. Neither lake contains Poisson Chat (Catfish) or any other nuisance species. The lakes were first stocked in Dec 2002 with a selection of Mirrors and Commons to over 40 lb with smaller fish to add variety. Rumours of a 45 lb waiting to be caught! Fishing at these lakes costs 35 euros per person per day which allows you 2 rods. L'etang du Beffou and others The Beffou lake (l'etang du Beffou) was stocked with Carp a few years ago, but sadly to date it is still closed to the public. In the meantime good fishing can be found at Guerlesquin (5 mins) and Callac (20 mins) and many more lakes and rivers in the area. Fishing permits for these are available from the local tabacs. | |||||||
